Parma Countryside Food Tour: Parmigiano, Culatello, Art & Music

Overview

Discover the authentic heart of Parma on this small-group half-day or full-day tour through the Bassa Parmigiana, near the Po River — homeland of the renowned Culatello and rich culinary traditions.

Visit an authentic Parmigiano Reggiano dairy farm to see how the “King of Cheeses” is made and enjoy a guided tasting. Continue to the Culatello Museum at Corte Pallavicina, set in historic cellars, to learn how this exclusive cured meat is produced and aged, followed by a complimentary tasting.

With the full-day option, extend the experience with lunch in a local restaurant for a true taste of Parma cuisine.

In the afternoon, choose one activity:

  • Visit the Giuseppe Verdi Theatre, a late-19th-century jewel dedicated to the composer
  • Explore the Royal Palace of Colorno, the “Versailles of Parma,” and its gardens
  • Enjoy the Po River Regional Park with an easy walk.

This tour combines iconic food, cultural heritage, and countryside charm.
